List of authors

For each author, the journal requires the following information: full name, ORCID, affiliations. In addition, the corresponding author who will handle the correspondence during the publication stages must be indicated.

Author contribution statement

The respective contribution of all co-authors should be listed, see the paragraph authorship in the ethics policies.

Keywords

A maximum of five keywords should be included, together with their translation into French. They must be discriminating to allow the article to be found after its publication. General words (diagnosis, clinical research, etc.) should be avoided, as well as words that are too specific.

Abstracts

Abstracts must contain between 250 and 350 words. They should allow the understanding of the work without reading the whole article.
The abstract should provide the context or background for the study and should state the study's purpose, basic procedures, main findings, and principal conclusions. Authors should ensure that it accurately reflects the content of the article.

Links of interest

The journal follows international practice regarding links of interest, see also the ethics policies. All manuscript submissions must be accompanied by a declaration of interest. All sources of funding for the work must be disclosed. All authors should therefore declare any links of interest that may arise from their work in general by following the recommendations below. It is recommended to list both financial and non-financial interests.

The declaration of interest related to the article should be listed as follows:
- In case there are no links of interest with the authors of the submitted article, the following statement should be added directly in the manuscript: The author(s) declare(s) that he (they) has (have) no relationship of interest.
- If one or more of the authors of the article has (have) a relationship of interest, the complete list of these authors must be mentioned at the end of the manuscript (before the references).
The initials of the author(s) concerned, and the name of the associated company should be added to the exhaustive list of potential links of interest.

Units of measurement

The international metric system shall be used. Symbols and units must conform to international nomenclatures.
Measurements of length, height, weight, and volume should be reported in metric units (meter, kilogram, or liter) or their decimal multiples.
Temperatures should be in degrees Celsius. Blood pressure should be in millimeters of mercury.
In a sentence, numbers from zero to ten are spelled out unless followed by an abbreviated unit of measurement. Numbers at the beginning of a sentence are spelled out. Decimals are preceded by a comma in French texts.

Abbreviations and symbols

Use only standard abbreviations. Avoid abbreviations in the title of the manuscript. The spelled-out abbreviation followed by the abbreviation in parenthesis should be used on first mention unless the abbreviation is a standard unit of measurement.
For medicines, when first quoted in the text, always combine the international non-proprietary name (INN) and, if necessary, the name of the speciality in brackets. Thereafter, only the INN will be used.
All abbreviations must be explained when they first appear in the text. Abbreviations that appear more than once are accepted. They should be expanded in a preliminary « Abbreviations and symbols » section in the following form:
FTY : fingolimod
RRMS : relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis

Figures

Photographs of patients must be accompanied by a signed release from the patients or their legal guardian, see the case reports and informed consent guidelines. The production office may, however, operate additional anonymization of the photographs.
If a figure has been published previously, acknowledge the original source and submit written permission from the copyright holder to reproduce it. Permission is required irrespective of authorship or publisher for all documents except for those published under a license which permits reuse (Creative Commons).

Data availability statement

Articles which include results based on research data must include a paragraph specifying their availability (Data availability statement) This statement should be included at the end of the article, after the Acknowledgement. Data sharing must comply to the FAIR principles: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable (cf. https://www.go-fair.org/). Whenever possible, data should be shared publicly in a data warehouse (e.g. https://recherche.data.gouv.fr/en, https://zenodo.org/, https://datadryad.org/stash or https://ebrains.eu/service/share-data/). The Data availability statement should include the citation of the datasets used, with their DOI.

When depositing the data in the warehouse, it is required to accompany the data with a glossary defining the fields used, and to apply an open license facilitating reuse.

Exceptions are granted if data cannot be made publicly available for legal or ethical reasons. Whenever possible, the scripts used to exploit the data should also be shared in platforms like https://www.softwareheritage.org/.

References

The number of references cited must not be less than 20. References must be numbered in order of appearance. They are to be integrated within the paragraphs between brackets by their number [1]. The bibliographic style to be applied is Vancouver (brackets). The journal recommends that contributors do not format references by hand but use Zotero which allows direct formatting of references. The Citation Style Language to be used is Vancouver Bracket : https://www.zotero.org/styles/vancouver-brackets. The DOI, Digital Object Identifier, must be systematically added at the end of the reference.

Proof correction

To guarantee prompt publication process of the article, we kindly ask authors to provide their proof corrections within five working days. Corresponding authors will receive an e-mail with the relevant instructions to retrieve the proofs along with possible questions from the production editors, and send back their corrections and comments. Please use this proof only for checking the typesetting, editing, completeness and correctness of the text, tables and figures. No significant changes to the article as accepted for publication will be accepted at this stage. Please note that the positioning of images and tables can be changed by the production office at the article's formatting stage.
